AHIQ Linkup

A quick post jammed into a very busy week. This month’s improv work was the “Strings” score from Sherri Lynn Wood’s Improv Handbook for Modern Quilters, as I try to follow the quiltalong on the Facebook Page.

Here is the finished piece. I wrote about process here.

LInking up with AHIQ this morning, and I’ll be spending some time looking at everyone’s links later today. There is sure to be a lot to see!

Have a great weekend,

  1. I just heard about this link up, and love the quilt you made. Never heard of Sherri Lynn Wood til today, have to check out her Facebook page! Thanks for sharing your beautiful work!

  2. You have such a way with these quilts. Love the construction and fabric choices. It’s always fun to see what you’re up to. Thanks for linking up with AHIQ. I enjoyed reading your process on FB, too.

  3. I love Kente cloth too and was really interested to read the process post and see your earlier experiments with this style. I love where combining this with an improv approach has taken you: love the colours, and that you put these bits together instead of combining with the other strip sets – you have ended up with something really vibrant and, I think, with a great African feel to it too.
